MRI/MRA

MRIMagnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a diagnostic technique that uses magnetic fields and radiowaves with computer software to produce images of the internal anatomy. No radiation is used when acquiring the images.

Magnetic Resonance Angiography (MRA) is a non-invasive alternative to conventional X-ray based angiography. It is performed using the MRI machine, with the use of computer software highlighting the blood vessels. MRA is used to detect aneurysms, narrowing or blockage of vessels.
