X-rays/Fluoroscopy

XrayDiagnostic X-rays are the oldest and most frequently used form of medical imaging. Radiation is used to produce an image of the body on either film or a computer.

X-rays move differently through the bone vs. soft tissue vs. air, giving different densities (ranging from white to black) on a study. No contrast agent is administered for these exams.

Fluoroscopy is real-time X-ray.
